Mi Obra
En mi trabajo combino una tradición y un saber hacer artesano con materias primas locales y diseño contemporáneo, creando piezas de joyería, que rescatan el conocimiento y sabiduría de la artesanía.
Mi trabajo es parte de un trabajo de resignificación de la tradicional técnica de microcestería en crin de caballo, modificando proporciones y dimensiones de lo aprendido, explorando la fragilidad y resistencia de la materia prima y los límites de las formas.
Las colecciones realizadas corresponden a formas construidas a partir de un tejido desbordado que reinterpreta una tradición, un proceso lento sin tiempo, sin límites que construye y deconstruye el tejido, marcando el paso del tiempo entre los dedos.
Creando piezas únicas que dialogan entre los materiales, técnica, historia e identidad, los relatos cotidianos, entretejiendo imaginarios.
My Art work
In my work I try to combine tradition and the artisan know how with local raw materials and contemporary art, creating pieces of jewellery that rescue the craft knowledge and wisdom.
Part of my artwork is a resignification work of the unique and traditional Chilean technique of horsehair micro-basketry, modifying the proportions and dimensions of the knowledge learnt, exploring the raw material fragility and resistance and shapes limits.
The collections made comprehend shapes built from an overloaded woven that reinterprets a tradition, a slow process, without limits, that construct and deconstruct a woven, setting the pace of time between the fingers.
Creating unique pieces that converse between the materials, the technique, the history, the identity, the daily stories, interweaving an imaginary.
